KING DIAMOND — Abigail Day

For the infinite souls who missed my allusion to the next True Metal Holiday, may you go forth this Sunday, the 7th Day of July in the glow of the aborticidal actions of Count Jonathan LaFey:

“No bastard baby
will inherit what’s mine”
Another one of her affairs
had left him in despair

So he pushed her down the stairs
to die…”No” She cried
In 1777, on the 7th Day of July

The Countess broke her neck and the
embryo came out dead
The he burned his beloved Wife
and the embryo he gave a name
“Abigail You must rest in shame” Rest in shame!

Forget your own abortion-worthy shame and play up this video (and buy the CD) if you find yourself confused:

Abigail is King Diamond’s masterpiece, no doubt; what an album! Thanks for the reminder, I may end up popping it in today now.

Of course! I like these “holidays” specifically because they remind me to pay proper attention to the classics. The next one will require some contrivances to make it relevant, but it will be done.
